Welcome! At Speech By Mara, we specialize in helping children become confident communicators. We specialize in the treatment of speech and language delays/disorders, myofunctional disorders and social communication differences. We create a fun and safe learning environment where children can explore and learn through our play-based therapy approach. We are committed to working with families and caregivers to ensure the carryover of new skills.
Mara Beck, M.S., CCC-SLP is an ASHA board certified and licensed Speech/Language Pathologist and a mom of three. She earned a double major in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders from Arizona State University. Mara completed her Clinical Fellowship Training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She has worked extensively in medical, school and home settings for over 25 years, specializing in early intervention and school aged speech and language concerns. Mara enjoys working with her clients and their families to help them achieve their communication goals. When not working with her Speech Therapy clients, Mara enjoys hiking, seeing movies, playing with her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.
